Post-Judgment Modification
Lives and circumstances often change in the years following entry of judgment in a divorce, dissolution of domestic partnership, or parentage action. Parties move, they begin new relationships, incomes change, children change schools, custodial arrangements require tweaking or modification, and other changed circumstances may arise at any time — sometimes years after the judgment was entered. Sometimes too, parties fail to comply with the terms of the original judgment.
The attorneys at Youngman Reitshtein, PLC are experienced in modifying judgments to fit the changed circumstances in their clients’ lives, and are experienced in enforcing judgments against non-compliant parties, through negotiation and stipulation, or through litigation if necessary. Our firm is also equipped to defend against requests for unreasonable or unwarranted modifications, or allegations of non-compliance.
