Move Away Orders
A move away order is a court order allowing a parent to move away with a minor child. These cases are often very difficult, as the Court must balance an individual’s right to live where they choose with the best interest of the minor children. Move-away cases are dependent on a number of factors, and require command of all relevant facts and circumstances specific to each case, along with the statutory rules and case law that govern move-away litigation.
The attorneys at Youngman Reitshtein, PLC represent parents requesting move away orders as well as parents opposing them. If both parents are in agreement that one parent may move away with the minor child, our firm can negotiate and draft an appropriate parenting plan that will ensure the continuing presence of the non-moving parent in the lives of the children.
